My beauty education began in 2013, when I attended cosmetology school, but my true passion took shape after attending esthetician school in 2017. A year later, Beauty and the Tea was born; not just as a business, but as a reflection of my values: intention, education, and care.

I grew up in The Bronx, where hustle isn’t a choice, it’s a lifestyle. Raised by two entrepreneurial parents and as the oldest of five girls, I learned early what it means to lead, work hard, and set an example. That foundation shaped everything I do today.

The name Beauty and the Tea was created from my desire to create an environment where my clients feel comfortable, confident and beau-tea-ful with their favorite beautea bestea. Our sessions aren’t rushed appointments; they’re intentional conversations, moments of release, and sometimes even therapy. This is a space where I give beauty and we spill the tea judge-free.

And tea doesn’t always mean gossip. For me, tea is testimony. It’s life stories, lessons learned, healing in progress, and growth unfolding in real time.

When this client first came to me, it was not just about the appearance of her toenails. It was about how she felt every time she looked down at her feet. Nail damage over time had slowly affected her confidence, and she was ready for change, but only in a safe and responsible way.

Before beginning any service, she received clearance from her podiatrist prior to her appointment. This step is essential, especially when reconstruction is involved. Safety always comes first, and working within professional boundaries ensures the best long term results for the client.

Once cleared, we began her waterless reconstruction pedicure using a technique designed to support the nail, protect the natural nail bed, and encourage healthier growth over time. Without soaking or rushing the process, each step was intentional and focused on restoration.

Transparency post — I can be really hard on myself because of how long I’ve been in business without my dream storefront yet...

Seven years in this industry, countless opportunities, and experiences, yet I stayed a private home suite artist. Fear held me back .. fear of failing, fear of not being ready, fear of taking the risk, fear of doing it all alone or trusting someone to do it for me ..

I’ve worked in different salons, also as a solo artist,sold out products, trained many students which led met to hit my first six figures then. All in hopes of opening my dream store but I fumbled the bag because I didn’t know better then. I didn’t play my cards right and let “I can make it back” mentality take over instead of hustling for it..

But that failure taught me lessons money can’t buy. I learned to be wiser, more intentional, financial, and more patient with myself. It helped me grow so much just this year alone! Because if you don’t get to it, someone else will ! And if they did it, why can’t i do it too?!

Like it’s easy to compare yourself to a time you felt “unstoppable” to having to figure it out again and again. But i had to shift my focus and remind myself that I’m SEVEN YEARS SELF EMPLOYED because i kept showing up again and again! & one day, I will open the academy I always brag about!!! And the truth? We’re never fully ready until we’re uncomfortable. And with discomfort comes change and new beginnings.

Sort of like a rebirth, which is where we’re at now… it’s time to take it up a notch and remind myself that growth isn’t defined by a where I am. It’s defined by how I improve my talents, how I show up, what I’m willing to learn , and building with what I have. I am the only one in the way of what is meant to be for me. Even when it seems impossible or even overwhelming, stick to the PLAN and keep GOING!
