Hi Beautea Bestea, I’m Marlee, proud mother, founder and educator behind Beauty and the Tea. 

 

WHATS THE TEA ?

My journey in the beauty industry began in 2013 when I attended cosmetology school. I have always considered to be "the jack of al traits", someone who could do a little bit of everything, but it was not until I enrolled in esthetician school in 2017 that truly started to align for me. During that time, I was an expecting mother and a student living in Hawaii, holding onto a vision I couldn't let go of!

 

After graduating, I took time for maternity leave, and began to fully explore my talents, revise my goals, and step into my purpose not realizing doing NAILS would change my career and life today! From the very first model till where I am now, I am grateful to have the opportunity and support to continue building my DREAMS into reality!

​Over the years, Beauty And The Tea has grown far beyond what I initially imagined. From consistently selling out on high demand products and my most viral Nail Artist Kits, to overbooked schedules and waitlists! What began as service evolved into something much bigger, which allowed me to educate and train hundreds of artists worldwide! And also creating the number #1 BEST selling e-book of 2020, where I shared all the tea on how to become an artist just like I did too! This book had "influencers" scamming and stealing my info just to find out this tea!

 

But along this journey, I have perfected my craft, learned business boundaries and grown my social platforms that led me to becoming a 7x Beauty Award winning nominee, to then a "Viral Reconstruction Pedicurist" where I turn clients into "baddies" within the first session! Each milestone represents not just success, but the impact, rebrand and purpose behind everything I have built!

Growing up in The Bronx played a major role in shaping who I am today. Life was not always easy, and hustle was never a choice, it was a lifestyle. Also, being raised by two entrepreneurial parents and stepping into the role of the oldest of five girls taught me responsibility, leadership, and resilience at a young age. I learned how to work hard, stay focused, and lead by example, even when faced with challenges. That foundation is what gave me the strength and determination to build Beauty and the Tea from the ground up.

This isnt just another "small business"; this is a space created for clients to feel comfortable, confident and beau-tea-ful with their favorite beautea bestea. Every appointment is more than a service, it is an experience. Our time together is never rushed. It is filled with meaningful conversations, moments to release, laughter, and sometimes even healing. This is a space where I give beauty and we spill the tea judge-free.

For me, tea means tes-tea-mony. It goes far beyond gossip. It represents real life, personal growth, lessons learned, and healing in progress. It is about showing up as you are and leaving feeling seen, heard, and elevated in every way.
